The following qualifications, or equivalent, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
Education and formal training:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. BSN or equivalent or enrolled in a degree granting program. Three years of relevant clinical experience. Appropriate clinical certification desired.
Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience.
QualificationsKnowledge, skills and abilities required:
Possess ability to function independently with minimal supervision. Advanced clinical nursing knowledge and effective interpersonal and leadership skills. Knowledge and ability to develop annual budgets and oversee appropriate use of resources. Serve as an effective member of the hospital management team. Interview, hire, counsel and evaluate employees effectively and fairly.
Must meet employee health requirements of Caldwell Memorial Hospital and Registered Nurse health requirements of North Carolina Board of Nursing. Must be able to stand, walk and sit as required. Must have visual acuity to accurately function as a department manager with adequate hearing to communicate with other healthcare personnel. Must have emotional stability to establish therapeutic relationships with patients/families, physicians, community resources and coworkers.
