This position is responsible for instrument collection, decontamination, cleaning and sterilization. Responsible for getting instruments ordered and repaired as needed. Responsible for proper storage of instruments. Maintains adequate levels of inventory of supplies stored in Central Supply. Maintains compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies standards. Monitors sterilization and biological testing. Hours will be 12-8:30pm
Education and formal training:
High School Diploma or GED.
On the job training.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
Able to read, write and interpret data.
Must be able to stand for four hours at a time. Must be able to access all areas of hospital. Must be able to lift items weighing 40 pounds. Must be able to hear and orally communicate on the telephone and face to face.
